Description
In recent years the emerald ash borers have decimated the ash tree population in Northern Illinois. Local authorities and property owners have removed healthy ash trees to slow the spread of these pests. Fortunately, the beautiful ash tree in my yard is of a variety not typically attacked by these insects. It is one of the first trees to display fall colors and displays multiple colors all at one. This image is one of a series where I have put the brightly colored leaves against a solid black background. It makes an outstanding bold piece of décor.
