Description
It used to be somewhat rare to see an egret in the populated Chicago Suburbs. Now they are a pretty common sight. This one is part of a group of over one hundred that nest on a small island in a lagoon on a corporate campus. I always enjoy seeing this big bird in flight.

Thanks Cindy. This one was challenging to have a slow enough shutter to blur the background while panning and yet fast enough to capture at lease some detail of the bird.
