Description
The North American White Pelican resides mostly in Canada and migrates south for the winter. On their journey back to Canada they made a stop in northern Illinois on the Fox River in March of 2019 when this shot was made. These are among the larges birds with wings span up to nine feet. Their flight is graceful and they are delightful to watch.
